Having been a resident of Virginia Water since 2005, John brings over 40 years of expertise as a Chartered Surveyor specialising in planning and commercial property. Following the resignation of Nigel Moss in September 2025, John was appointed Chairman of the Wentworth Estate Roads Committee (WERC), where his extensive professional background provides important oversight and strategic guidance.

John’s objective is to see the Estate flourish as the premier address in the UK; achieving this when the Estate is already highly regarded will depend on establishing stronger, sustainable policies towards the environment, woodland and street scape.  Housing of the quality that the Estate offers needs to be set within a diverse environment that respects wildlife, trees and landscape.

Before this, John served as Vice Chairman of the Wentworth Residents Association (WRA), a position he held from 2012 until his recent retirement from the Association. He has also led the Virginia Water Neighbourhood Forum since 2019 and will continue in this capacity through to the adoption of the Neighbourhood Plan, now in its final stages.

Under John’s leadership, the Roads Committee plays a central role in the day-to-day management of the Estate, alongside its planning, statutory responsibilities and maintenance responsibilities.  John remains an enthusiastic supporter of the wider Virginia Water community and continues to champion the exceptional facilities and amenities available throughout the local area.
